Who is counselling for?
Counselling and Coaching can be beneficial for anyone and everyone. You do not need to have a specific mental health diagnosis, be going through a massive crisis or have a debilitating issue to access support from a counsellor or coach who will support, encourage and walk alongside you as you work on developing the skills and resources to design, create and enjoy the life you want.
How can Kate Landete Counselling help you?
Counselling is a process of talking about and working through your personal experiences, issues, problems and concerns. A counsellor supports you to address your problems in a positive way by helping you to clarify the issues, explore options, develop strategies, look at things from new perspectives, increase self-awareness and identify and cultivate your personal strengths and resources.
Kate is professionally trained and skilled in a wide variety of counselling and coaching modalities (including CBT, EMDR, Positive Psychology, Solutions Focused, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness and Person Centered Talk Therapy) and integrates evidence based tools and strategies from her training to best support each individual client and their needs in a fun, gentle and intuitive way.
How long does counselling go for/ How many sessions do I need?
We believe that counselling should be as unique and individual as you are. Some people may only need single sessions whilst others may prefer to commit to weekly, fortnightly or even monthly sessions over a longer term depending on their goals, needs and situation. This is something we can discuss and collaborate on together. Sessions run for an hour.
