PRE AND POST NATAL SUPPORT

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a therapy that works on the premise that when a person is distressed, the brain does not process information the way it should. EMDR is designed to help individuals process and overcome distressing memories, particularly those related to trauma. It involves bilateral stimulation, often through side-to-side eye movements, to facilitate the reprocessing of traumatic experiences. The goal is to reduce the emotional intensity of memories and replace negative beliefs with more adaptive ones, leading to symptom relief and emotional healing. EMDR can help with:
- Anxiety, stress and panic attacks
- Depression, addictions, pain relief
- Phobias, sleep problems
- Grief, loss and trauma
